Hi there!
Originally from San Jose, CA/Silicon Valley, John now resides in the greater Phoenix area of Arizona. For over 25 years, John has been a photojournalist, sports/concert/event photographer, as well as an accomplished wedding & portrait photographer. Currently, John is a proud Professor of Photography at Grand Canyon University, where he shares his passion and experience with aspiring young photographers, doing his best to encourage & inspire them. It has been said, “those who can, do; those who can’t, teach”; John dispels that misconception by continuing to simultaneously do both at a high level. In 2004, John was selected to be a contributing photographer for WireImage/Getty Images, specializing in sports, entertainment, and event photography and still proudly covers local events for them currently. Throughout his career, John has been published in Time Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Rolling Stone Magazine, as well as a multitude of publications and websites worldwide. Current & former clients include: San Francisco 49ers, San Jose Mercury News, Pat Tillman Foundation, San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, AutoData, Ernst & Young, LLP & many more.
